White Wines

1 x Altano, Douro White, 12.5 % – This wine comes from the Douro Valley in northern Portugal and is produced from grapes grown in higher altitude vineyards where cooler temperatures provide the ideal conditions for the even maturation of white grapes. The result is a zesty, aromatic wine with tropical fruit flavours and a refreshing crisp acidity.

1 x Quinta da Fonte Souto, Florao White, 13.5% – The Florao White represents the most approachable wine style from the Fonte Souto estate, made with all the attention to detail and care of the other estate wines, but with a more youthful profile intended for drinking young. Its freshness, balance and structure clearly identify it as wine born of the unique Fonte Souto terroir. Seductive aromas of pineapple and apricot preserve with subtle background notes of wildflowers and sea breeze.

1 x Quinta da Fonte Souto Estate White 13.5% – This is the Fonte Souto estate’s signature white, and it really shows off what makes their unique terroir special. It’s a delicious expression of Arinto, one of Portugal’s finest white grapes, with a touch of Verdelho that’s part fermented and aged in large oak barrels. The nose is loaded with flinty and citrusy notes, followed by juicy peachy stone fruits. Then you get this lovely vanilla and creaminess on the palate, all the while keeping a good, fresh crispness. It all comes together beautifully, making a white that’s poised, elegant, and generous in nature.

Red Wines

1 x Altano, Altano Douro, Red 13.5% – Deep, crimson colour. Aromas of woodland vegetation, hints of pine resin, forest fruits as well as some floral notes of rock rose (gum cistus). Quite full-bodied, although soft textured, with red fruit flavours and some spice. Good structure and balance, well defined by lively acidity. A great wine to pair with pasta and light meat dishes.

1 x Quinta do Fonte Souto Florao Red 14.5% – Fragrance of cherries, entwined with notes of pinewood and wet land. In the mouth, it is assertive and silky with notes of forest fruits punctuated with touches of clove and pepper. A wine with a good gastronomic profile.

1 x Quinta da Fonte Souto Estate Red 14.1% – Aromas of Mediterranean scrub with balsamic notes of pine needles and resin. Broad and complex on the palate, with succulent flavours of fruits of the forest and hints of clove. The taut tannins provide a well-toned structure, balanced by fresh acidity which gives the wine great definition. The diversity of grape varieties used mark the wine with a very particular profile, a clear gastronomic aptitude as well as promising ageing potential.
